How do I join a short–term team?
First, complete the The Journey. Be sure to continue on to the Short-Term section at the end. If you missed it, you can fill it out here. Then we will contact you to gather more information. Once accepted, send in
a non-refundable $300 deposit to reserve your spot. This $300 is applied towards the overall cost for your team for training materials and
orientation expenses. We will then send you materials to help you raise
support, take care of all immunization/passport/visa requirements, and
prepare for your short–term experience.
What are orientation & debriefing?
Prior
to heading overseas, our short–term teams participate in three days of
orientation to help prepare and train for their cross–cultural
experience. Two main focuses of our orientation are preparing you to honor
our friends from Islamic cultures and helping you build and develop
healthy team dynamics.
Upon your return return from overseas,
you will have two days of debriefing to help you “unpack” and process your
experiences. You will reflect with your team on what you learned during
the trip. You will also have time to consider what this experience
means for your future as you follow Jesus.
The days for orientation and debriefing are included within the dates listed for each short–term team opportunity.
Is travel insurance provided?
Yes,
travel insurance is provided and already included in the team budget.
