Member Care
Caring for those serving in the Muslim world
In Scripture, Barnabas was called the “son of encouragement.” Following his example, Frontiers has a unique team of professionals and trained servants whose sole identity is to bless, support and restore the people of God in their service.
Frontiers' Member Card Department also equips other senders to care for field workers.
Recognizing how important it is that our workers feel cared for every step of the way, Frontiers has made this a priority in our community.
Frontiers' workers do not go it alone. In partnership with sending churches, Member Care strives to provide care worthy of those who bring the message of the Gospel to the hardest places in the world by:
- Encouraging field workers and their families in their faith, that they might be more effective in their work and daily lives
- Restoring those wounded in their service
- Reengaging those in unplanned transitions
Member Care also provides care to field members through the following:
Counseling and Coaching – General counseling; regional conferences and field visits; training in peacemaking and team building; crisis and critical incident debriefing, and reengagement support
Field Personnel Services – Tracking field member information; overseeing secondments; supervising leaves of absence; providing sabbatical coaching and transition support, as well as hospitality and logistical services; serving as liaison for sending supporters
Third-Culture Kids Care – Providing specialized programs, regional conferences, Oasis and field visits that address the unique needs of children of field workers
Women’s Ministries – Serving the special needs female field workers in Muslim countries
Field Resource Support – Resourcing business and development needs responsive to field opportunities
Member Care also provides special retreats for field workers returning to the States for refreshment and renewal, as well as workshops to help senders care for their own members on the field.
