I'm finding that when I treat my non-Chrisitan friends as people NOT projects, it opens the door for God to do amazing things. Carl showed this kind of no-strings-attached love to the leader of a Muslim city in Iraq and the guy offered him his city!

You may have seen the movie Rudy, the story of a young man with little talent but LOTS of heart who can't stomach just watching Notre Dame football. He HAS to play. Against all odds he does in the last game of his senior year. Where are the Rudy's who long to get in on what God's doing in the world? Who won't give up till they're in the game?

Carl was in Iraq sharing Jesus and found himself on an abandoned roadside being robbed at gunpoint. He thought he was going to die. One thought kept going through his mind: "Why am I here?" In that moment Jesus made it all clear.

Maybe your dream has crashed and burned. God does some of this best work when our plans fail. That's what Carl found out after being robbed at gunpoint.

Joining God in what he's doing in the Muslim world is a lot like taking a bungee jump. It's scary. Cause you have to trust God like you have to trust the rope to hold. And ulitmately you have to take the leap. There's great risk. But what exhilaration when we let go and take the leap into what God's doing!

A 16 year old Muslim boy who came to faith in Jesus had a death threat on his life from his own father. Four shining angels had something to say to his father about that!
